Materials

For each team of 3 students:

• 1 clear-sided plastic box with a 2.5 cm layer of soft clay or coarse sand
• 1 wood or plastic block, approximately 2.5 cm high
• 1 spray or squirt bottle
• 1 spoon or craft stick
• powdered drink mix without sugar (1 Tbsp or 1 packet)
• 1 graduated beaker
• 1 ruler

For the entire class:
